Lesson Plans
First Grade:
This past year I have been teaching a class of 16 first graders. During this time I have fallen in love even more with the younger grades. It is a joy of mine to continue to plan for the younger grades in a hand on manner. Below you will find examples of literacy lessons I have created.
Kindergarten:
During student teaching my first placement was in Kindergarten. During this time is when I fell in love with teaching students who are just starting their journey at school. I really enjoy planning for this age group because everything is new and exciting. It gives me a chance to grow with the students and help them build their foundational skills.
Third Grade:
My second placement was in third grade where I really got to incorporate my love of technology and interactive lessons. The students at this age are really excited to try new things and exercising the skills that they have. While in third grade I created multiple Smart Board interactive games that the students loved! They would come in to the classroom in the morning asking if we could play the games so they could get better at the subjects that they were in.
Technology Infused:
This past year I have learned many new ways to learn how to enrich my lessons with technology. This helps students better understand the concepts being taught as well as gives them the technology skills that are need in today’s society.
