I received my bachelor's degree from SUNY Potsdam in May of 2016. During my time there I was given many chances to explore what I thought it meant to be a teacher. I student taught in LaFargeville and Sackets Harbor these are experiences that I hold close to my heart!
Masters in Educational Technology
Once completing my bachelor's I returned to SUNY Potsdam to work on my M.S.Ed in Educational Technology Specialist. Throughout the course, I have gotten the opportunity to acquire new skills and explore topics that I am passionate about. Below you will find examples of my work throughout the program. IT 614: TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION
In this course we got the chance to explore how teachers are currently using technology in the classroom as well as different types of assertive technology.
IT 635: RESEARCH AND THEORY
During this course we got the chance to research a question and help a client find answers to the problems they might be having.
IT 654: PROGRAM EVALUATION
For this course we had to review a program and create a proposal on how they could more effectively run their organization.
IT 621: AUTHORING AND SCRIPTING
This was one of my favorite courses. We got the chance to work with different technology and create lesson plans for students in different settings. I worked with the robot duo Dash and Dot.
IT 549: WEBPAGE DESIGN
In this course we got to learn the basics of html coding. Through out this course we created multiple website to practice these skills.
IT 544: DESKTOP PUBLISHING
Desktop publishing gave us the chance to work with the adobe suite and create amazing products to use in businesses and schools.
IT 647: TECHNOLOGY COACHING
For technology coaching we were able to gain the skills needed in coaching adults in the field of technology. In addition to this we got the chance to learn more about ourselves and others.
